Writers Biography
R.W. Ferland (AKA Pen Name: Keaton Foster)is a nationally and internationally published author of poetry, and short stories. With several published books to his credit, and over nineteen hundred poems. As well as hundreds of short stories, R.W. has much to say and expresses it in all that he writes.
One of the most prolific poets of his generation, R.W. Ferland has explored all sides of what it means to exist as we do. In addition, with his keen insight into the human experience, which he attributes to his own often-complicated existence. It has led him to create several unique published writings. Well-known stories like "The Sapphire Moon" which highlights R.W.’s powerful ability to convey human emotions. Many of R.W.’s poems often deal with deep personal issues that many of his avid readers will surely be able to relate to in powerful ways.
R.W. Ferland’s writings hold nothing back in their raw, true, powerful form. He leaves no stone unturned in his quest to expose all the deep dark secrets hiding behind closed doors.
Born and raised in Saco, Maine in the early 1970s. R.W. Ferland spent his formative years living in a highly dysfunctional family environment. Drug abuse, alcoholism, and emotional and physical abuse where all part of R.W.’s daily life growing up in Maine. Abandoned by his mother when he was twelve, R.W. has long since known what it takes to survive in an often-inhospitable world.
His past and present life are a constant source for his writings. Many recent changes in his life, including the birth of his first child and graduating from college have all given R.W. Ferland new insight and new fuel to stoke the passionate creative writing fire that burns within him.
R.W. Ferland currently lives in Florida with his wife and two young children. R.W. Ferland is a part time teacher, full time author, artist and student by profession.
