| 30th Jul 09 | CAMPAIGN FOR THE ARTS |
Spear-headed by Theatre Forum Ireland, the campaign is calling all artists, arts-workers and organisations to play a full role in asserting the value of the arts to government. The core argument of the campaign is that the arts are of enormous value as part of the national agenda, central to economic recovery and are integral to the smart economy. The four main aims: 1) to retain the Ministry for the Arts; 2) to freeze funding; 3) to retain Culture Ireland; and 4) to retain the Irish Film Board. To be a part of this campaign, to lend your voice and name, please email your name, address and constituency to theatreforum@ireland.com If you have a Facebook account, find your constiutency group here Read the Key Messages |
