Kavanagh Fellowship Awards
The Trustees of the Kavanagh Estate have made three awards to Irish poets in their middle years. The recipients are James Harpur and Tim Cunningham who have been awarded €8,000 each, and Teresa Lally who receives €5,000.
The awards are made available after Patrick Kavanagh’s widow Katherine left all rights in her husband’s works and all royalties from them to Trustees who were directed to apply the income to help Irish poets who are in need of assistance.
