Ballyroan Library Poetry Competition 2018

Ballyroan Library is delighted to present its fourth annual poetry competition to celebrate World Poetry Day.

The competition is open to poets aged 18 and over and based in Dublin. Employees of South Dublin County Council and South Dublin Libraries are not permitted to enter. Submissions are ONLY accepted by email and can be sent to from 1st March –5th April 2018.

There is no set theme, poems must not exceed 40 lines and they must be original and unpublished. All styles and forms are welcome. Poets may submit up to two poems for consideration. Prizes include: 1st- €100, 2nd- €50, 3rd- €30 and all poems will be published on South Dublin Libraries’ website. Winning poets must be able to attend an event in Ballyroan Library in April.
