Guth na hÉigse is a Poetry Recitation Competition for secondary school students, organised by IMRAM, with Poetry Ireland.

Faoi Guth na hÉigse

Is Comórtas Aithrise Filíochta do dhaltaí Iar-Bhunscoile é Guth na hÉigse, atá á eagrú ag IMRAM, an fhéile litríochta Gaeilge, i gcomhar le Poetry Ireland.
Sa gcomórtas seo, tugtar deis do dhaltaí a gcuid scileanna cruthaitheachta a fheabhsú, casadh le daltaí ó scoileanna thart timpeall na tíre agus cur lena
bhféinmhuinín. Cuirtear béim ar úsáid na Gaeilge ar bhealach taitneamhach. Áis tacaíochta é do mhúinteoirí agus iad ag iarraidh curaclam na Gaeilge a mhúineadh.

Guth na hÉigse is a Poetry Recitation Competition for secondary school students, organised by IMRAM, the Irish language literature festival, in partnership with Poetry Ireland based on the Poetry Aloud competition.This competition gives students the opportunity to develop their creative skills, meet students from schools around the country, and build their self-confidence. Emphasis is placed on using the Irish language in an enjoyable way. It is also a fantastic resource for teachers as they deliver the Irish curriculum.

  1. Cuirfidh daltaí dhá dhán ón liosta forordaithe atá ceangailte leis seo de ghlanmheabhair 
  2. Déanfaidh siad na dánta a aithris agus iad á dtaifeadadh ar fhíseán. Is féidir an taifeadadh seo a dhéanamh ar fhón póca. Ní cheadaítear na dánta a léamh.
  3. Caithfear na hiontrálacha físeáin a uaslódáil ar an fhoirm Jotform, agus caithfear na  foirmeacha toilithe tuismitheora. a uaslódáil.
  4. SPRIOCDHÁTA: 16 Deireadh Fómhair.

    • Cuirfear in iúl do na scoileanna roimh an sos lár téarma má tá daltaí roghnaithe chun dul ar aghaidh go dtí an babhta ceannais i gClub na Muinteoirí, Baile Átha Cliath, mar chuid d’Fhéile IMRAM ar an Chéadaoin, 11 Samhain 2026.

       

Guth na hÉigse / Poetry Recitation Competition

  • Secondary school students learn two Irish-language poems off by heart from the prescribed list attached.
  • Students recite the poems while being recorded on video. This recording can be made with a mobile phone. The poems must NOT be read.
  1. Video entries should be uploaded to the Jotform entry form, and parent consent forms must also be uploaded. A share-link to your school’s Dropbox folder/Google Drive folder can be inserted onto the Jotform entry form.
    • Closing date: 16 October.
    • Schools will be notified before the mid-term break if students have been selected to go through to the final round in the Teachers' Club, Dublin, as part of Féile IMRAM on Wednesday 11th November 2026.
