Trócaire Poetry Ireland Poetry Competition 2020 is officially launched

The Trócaire Poetry Ireland Poetry Competition 2020 was officially launched at Poetry Ireland, 11 Parnell Square East, today (20 January 2020).

This year's theme is 'Standing Her Ground' and entries are open from now until 20 March 2020. 

The competition is always FREE to enter and is open to young people, children and adults alike, at all stages in their writing careers. The annual poetry writing competition uses the arts to raise awareness about the leading global justice issues of our time. 

Pictured is the 2020 judging panel: Poetry Ireland’s Poet In Residence, Catherine Ann Cullen, Aidan Clifford, retired former director of the Curriculum Development Unit, and Trócaire’s Patricia Groves, published author. The judging panel is pictured along with Dr Jane O'Hanlon and Moira Cardiff of Poetry Ireland's Education Department.
