Publications/Repertoire/Productions & Background Experience

I am a children’s writer, poet, songwriter, and translator from Kyiv, Ukraine, now living in Ireland. I hold a Master’s degree in Philology and Translation, with expertise in Ukrainian, Russian, English, and German. I’m a member of Irish PEN/PEN na hÉireann,  The Irish Writers Center and The Irish Society for the Study of Children’s Literature, and the founder of Little Beetle Press, a children’s publishing and content agency. I have authored over 25 books and created numerous educational and therapeutic stories, songs, and creative workshops.

My books published in Ireland include The Sunflower Lion, Happy Will Be the Days, the Young Ukrainian Readers series, Sleepytime, My Little Squirrel!, “Eco-Tales of Giants”, “Snow Giant and Climate Change” and “A Magical Summer in Tír Na nÓg”. My poetry has been published in The New Ulster Poetry Journal, and my song “Raspberry Jam” was featured in the Poetry Jukebox project.

Session Details

1. A Journey with Giants – Climate-Themed Workshop
Based on my books Eco-Tales of Giants and The Snow Giant and Climate Change, this workshop introduces children to environmental themes through storytelling, discussion, and hands-on eco crafts. Children join gentle giants on a quest across Europe, learning about climate change and how they can help protect the planet + create cute “Eco-Pets”.

2. A Magical Summer in Tír na nÓg – A Creative Bridge Between Cultures
Inspired by the book A Magical Summer in Tír na nÓg, this workshop connects Irish and Ukrainian cultures. Children design fantasy board games, and engage in imaginative activities such as the Meadow of Memories and the Poetry Playground. The session celebrates creativity, empathy, and cross-cultural connection.

I work in both English and Ukrainian, and sessions can be adapted for different age groups and school needs.

Age Group Details

I have children 5 and 9 years old therefore age groups of 5-7 and 8-10 are my favourite.

Availability Details

I can travel to Dublin and surrounding counties, such as: Longford, Roscommon, Sligo, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan, Leitrim. Between 11 and 2pm is ideal
