I am a children's writer, poet, songwriter, and translator from Kyiv, Ukraine. I hold a Master's degree in Philology and Translation, with expertise in Ukrainian, Russian, English, and German languages. I am a member of Irish PEN and The Irish Society for the Study of Children's Literature. I am the owner of "Little Beetle Press" children’s content agency (www.littlebeetlepress.com/en) and have authored over 20 books.

Some of my books have been published in Ireland: The Sunflower Lion, Happy will be the Days, the “Young Ukrainian Readers” series and Sleepytime, My Little Squirrel!.

My poems were published in New Ulster Poetry Journal and my song “Raspberry Jam” became part of PoetryJukebox project and is available at all music databases.

Session Details

I have a friend – a Bird Puppet who always helps me at the sessions of so-called “Poetry Playground”. Together we will meet the kids, talk about different types of poetry and importance of creative writing and then create our own poems or stories. We will also play some word games and create a collective poem of the class and if we have time – make some cut-out magazine poems.

Alternatively, we can talk about the work of the publisher, divide into teams – writers, Illustrators and editors and create our own little books.

I can work in Ukrainian and English.

Age Group Details

I have children 3 and 7 years old therefore age groups of 3-5, 5-7 are my favourites, but I also enjoy meeting children 8-10 years old as we have always something to talk about!

Availability Details

I can travel to Dublin and surrounding counties, such as: Longford, Roscommon, Sligo, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan, Leitrim. Between 11 and 2pm is ideal
