Publications/Repertoire/Productions & Background Experience

Poetry: Green Monkey Travelling (Bluechrome, 2005), The Touch Maker (Alternative Press, 1994) and Abigail Brown (Salmon, 1991) for which she won the Brendan Behan Memorial Award. ‘Witness’ a fourth collection of poetry is due May 2015.

Editor/founder of Windows Publications for 23 years. Has edited over 30 poetry & art anthologies including 10 Windows Publications Author & Artists Introductions Series. Her poem ‘Testament’ was commissioned by Cavan County Council and set to music by award winning composer Sean Doherty from Derry. The poem was performed by the County Choir under the expert direction of Blanaid Murphy in the Cavan Burren on the Summer Solstice 2014. Heather Brett has been Writer-in-Residence for counties Cavan, Louth, Longford and the Midlands Collaboration of Laois, Westmeath & Offaly.
