Publications/Repertoire/Productions & Background Experience
Mark Granier's fifth collection of poetry is Ghostlight: New & Selected Poems (Salmon, 2017). His work has been published widely in newspapers, journals and periodicals, including the TLS, Irish Times, Poetry Ireland Review and The New Statesman, and has been broadcast on RTE. Prizes include five Arts Council Bursaries, The Vincent Buckley Poetry Prize and two Patrick And Katherine Kavanagh Fellowships.
His poetry for children has been published in several anthologies, including Off The Wall (Marino Press, 2002), Something Beginning with P (O'Brien Press, 2004), Let In The Stars: New Poetry for Children (Manchester Metropolitan University, 2014) and Once Upon A Place (Little Island, 2015). Mark Granier has an MA in poetry/creative writing and has facilitated many workshops and projects with schools and colleges at primary, post primary and third level. He was Writer in Residence at Adelaide & Meath Hospital (incorporating the National Children's Hospital) in 2005 and edited and a book of poetry by children and adults, Patient Voices.
He has also taught creative writing with University College Dublin's Adult Education/Lifelong Learning Department for many years and is a regular tutor in poetry/creative writing with The Irish Writers’ Centre in Dublin.
