Partnership Event: Munster Poetry Slam

CALLING ALL MUNSTER POETS

The Munster Poetry Slam is back! It will be held on Wednesday, 7th October, in the White House Bar, Limerick City.

Supported by Poetry Ireland, the night will be run in conjunction with the First Wednesday series and will be hosted by Cormac Fitz.

The rules are simple(ish):

All poems must be from memory and can be no longer than 3 minutes max. There are 2 ROUNDS in total. Everyone gets a chance to say their piece in Round 1. 6 poets are then chosen by the judges to compete in Round 2.

The winner will then be crowned the Munster Slam Champion. The top 3 poets on the night will be selected to compete in the All-Ireland Poetry Slam Final later this year. There will also be cash prizes for the Top 3.

To enter, you must either be resident in, or from, the Province of Munster.

Please sign up at allirelandpoetryslam@gmail.com by Sunday 4th October. Non-poets welcome too for a night of top-class word slinging. Any queries: please email. Full rules and guidelines will be sent out before the Slam.
