Poetry Ireland launches Text to Donate campaign

14th February 2020

As part of its fundraising activity for 2020, Poetry Ireland has launched a Text to Donate campaign.

Using multiple channels, the campaign encourages supporters to donate €4 by text. It takes just a few seconds to do and, collectively, the donations will help Poetry Ireland raise funds for its ongoing work and for the development of a centre for poetry at 11 Parnell Square East, Dublin 1.

Development Manager of Poetry Ireland, Anne Hendrick, said the Text to Donate campaign is an easy way for all kinds of supporters to help the charity in its fundraising.

“Help Poetry Ireland create a lasting legacy for poetry in Ireland by giving it a permanent home,” she said. “We cannot realise this without the generosity of our supporters, and we appreciate every single donation.”

Your donation will help secure a future for Irish poetry that is as celebrated as its past.

To get involved, text “Poetry” to 50300 to donate €4. Texts cost €4. Poetry Ireland will receive a minimum of €3.60.

Poetry Ireland, in partnership with The Irish Heritage Trust, has developed plans for a conservation-led refurbishment of 11 Parnell Square East, which will house an all-island institution dedicated to poetry in all its forms and a centre for heritage within Dublin’s north inner city cultural cluster.
