Join us for a free two-part event on Poetry Day Ireland 2026, from 12 to 3pm, as we explore this year's theme, Home, through the lens of creative activism. Led by Dr. Frank O’Connor and Jude Sherry, founders of the #DerelictIreland movement, a group of max 12 participants will take a tour featuring a curated selection of the 700+ derelict homes identified by O’Connor and Sherry in Cork city. Afterward, from 1.30 to 3.00pm, in the Thomas Davis Room, Cork City Library, a poetry workshop facilitated by award-winning poet Molly Twomey will invite participants to reflect on what they’ve witnessed and to write toward a creative vision of what could be.
