Adare Poetry Town and Poetry Ireland firmly believe in the power of poetry as a tool for social and personal growth. We are committed to engaging our local community through a programme of compelling experiences tailored to our neighbourhood and its needs.

As part of Poetry Town, we’ve planned a unique workshop for community groups in Adare, including:

Laureate Address

The poet laureate Ed O’ Dwyer will prepare a 20 minute performance to the Embury Close Sheltered Housing community, their friends, guests and members of the Adare Business Association (ABA) at an open air garden fete, celebrating a charity fundraising 'walkathon' undertaken by residents during lockdown.
