From Broken to Beautiful Exhibition

Writers and visual artists are invited to take part in a special installation on the theme of, 'From Broken to Beautiful'. They will receive a mood board on ideas about repairing an item in a way that foregrounds the repair, in the spirit of Kintsugi. They will be asked to choose something they have that is less than perfect, it may be broken or chipped or missing a leg or an ear (depending on the object) and then select a way of repairing it that foregrounds the imperfection. Artists and writers are free to work independently or can collaborate with one another. Each piece will have a title and a poem, words written by the creator or a collaborator.

This exhibition will be displayed throughout the Tudor Artisan Hub galleries during Poetry Town week. Pop in and follow the trail.
