Mountmellick Library is delighted to contribute to the Poetry Town programme. Keep an eye out for their beautiful printed poems around the town. Stop and read!

When advertising works, it's a splendid thing! Poetry Town posters have certainly prompted one local woman into sharing her work. Collette Dunne is well-known as a talented artist. However, little does her community of Mountmellick know that she is a poet too. Having spotted the posters out and about, Collette fessed up. An avid user of the fabulous library here in Mountmellick, we thought it was so fitting to display her work there. It also just so happens it's a few doors down from her own home.
