Tullamore

Tullamore is the capital town of the county of Offaly, located halfway between Dublin and Galway. It is a thriving and bustling town and a gateway to the midlands.

Situated on the Grand Canal, the town has an impressive heritage, including St Catherine’s, a Gothic Revival church of 1818, designed by Francis Johnston, and Charleville Castle, one of Ireland’s most splendid Gothic Revival buildings which stands in beautiful woodland containing many splendid oak trees.

There is an active arts community who host a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, and who are eagerly awaiting the opening of the new Art Centre for Tullamore which, working complimentarily with the centrally based Tullamore Library, will offer a range of arts events and activities for the community and visitors to the town.
