Scene of the Rhyme

The Scene of the Rhyme event in John Lee's venue in Tullamore (Saturday 11 September 2021) is free, and will kick-start live poetry gigs after an absence since February 2020.  Running for 8 years before the pandemic, the organisers are very happy to be back and know many poets are itching to perform after such a long time. People who have attended over the years are keen for a spoken word event back on the calendar in Tullamore. 

Expect many new poems from the poets performing as well as some poetry from Tullamore’s Poet Laureate, Cormac Lally. There has always been a strong poetry/spoken word scene in Tullamore and the organisers are looking forward to welcoming local poets and poets from further afield at the show. 

No booking required – will be walk in (subject to Covid certificates).
