Editor Profile: Maurice Riordan
Maurice Riordan was born in Lisgoold, Co. Cork, in 1953. His books from Faber include A Word from the Loki (1995), Floods (2000), The Holy Land (2007), The Water Stealer (2013), Shoulder Tap (2021), and an anthology of early Irish lyrics in translation, The Finest Music (2013).
He has received the Michael Harnett Award, a Cholmondeley Award from the Society of Authors, and a PEN translation award. He is a former editor of The Poetry Review. He lives in London and teaches at the Faber Academy.
