Sparks of the Everyday: Poetry Ireland Introductions 2022

Sparks of the Everyday: Poetry Ireland Introductions 2022 is an anthology of poetry featuring the very best of Ireland's emerging poets for 2022, chosen by Anthony Anaxagorou, award-winning poet, essayist, publisher, and poetry educator, along with renowned Irish-language poet Aifric Mac Aodha.

The anthology marks the culmination of Introductions 2022 and the dedicated Irish language strand Céadlínte Éigse Éireann 2022 whereby emerging poets were selected from a huge number of applicants to take part in a series of workshops with award-winning poets Anthony Anaxagorou, Jessica Traynor, Annemarie Ní Churreáin and Aifric Mac Aodha, and a performance workshop with Ciara Ní E. The selected poets went on to perform their work at an Introductions | Céadlínte showcase at the International Literature Festival Dublin 2022.

Each poet is featured in the anthology by two of their poems and an insightful prose piece on poetry, on life, or on the overlap between poetry and life.

Sparks of the Everyday: Poetry Ireland Introductions 2022 features Róisín Leggett Bohan, Meg Mulcahy, Pádraig Ó Cuinneagáin, Helen Fallon, Karson Lafferty, Caitríona Lane, K.S. Moore, Charles Lang, Art Ó Súilleabháin, Patrick Hopkins, Amy Abdullah Barry, Brian Ó Tiomáin, Phil Kingston, Jess McKinney, and HK Ní Shioradáin.
