Trumpet Issue 10

Trumpet 10, edited by Mícheál McCann, takes a snapshot of poets and poetry in Northern Ireland, 2021. Among its contributors are Dawn Watson writing on Nigella Lawson and the art of living, Bebe Ashley on sign language and its influence on her poetry, while both Colette Bryce and Kerri ní Dochartaigh write about the Derry they remember. There are new poems from Leontia Flynn, Anesu Khanya Mtowa, Dane Holt, Moyra Donaldson, and others. Among the titles reviewed are the anthology Queering the Green: Post-2000 Queer Irish Poetry, and Glass by Emily Cooper, with artwork in Trumpet 10 from Derry’s Liam Bradley and Belfast’s Beverley Healy.
