On Friday May 3rd, Poetry Ireland is delighted to present a masterclass opportunity for mid-career poets with leading poet Harry Clifton.
Internationally renowned for his poetry, Harry Clifton was poet-in-residence at the Frost Place in New Hampshire, and an International Fellow at the University of Iowa. He has held many teaching positions at universities, including Trinity College and UCD. He won the Poetry Now / Irish Times award in 2008 for his collection Secular Eden. He was the fifth Ireland Professor of Poetry from 2010 – 2013 and he is a member of Aosdána. His most recent collection Herod’s Dispensations has just been published by Bloodaxe Books.
How to apply:
Eligible applicants will have at least one collection published and are asked to submit a short expression of interest to Maureen Kennelly at email@example.com, outlining why they feel their work would especially benefit from this opportunity.
Closing date for submissions is Tuesday 23 April. A maximum of 12 participants will be selected and a fee of €25 will apply.
