Arínọlá Theatre: MY CITY TOO

Deadline: 7 May 2025

Arínọlá Theatre are calling on immigrant communities to have your voices and stories heard!

MY CITY TOO is a magazine highlighting the stories and experiences of people of immigrant communities inspired by the riots and racial violence seen across the country.

Focusing specifically on the night of the Dublin Riots in November 2023, Arínọlá Theatre invites you to share your poems, short stories, essays, artwork, and photography that explore and reflect on this theme. Paintings, poetry and written down anecdotes are also welcomed.

"We believe that acknowledging people’s experiences of traumatic events and giving them an artistic outlet is important. As well as that, it is important to remember the practical and real effects that that night had on people who call this city their home." - Arínọlá Theatre. Prompts: "How did the 2023 Dublin Riots change your relationship to the city?" "What does home mean to you?" "Do you feel comfortable saying you are Irish?" "What was the first place you went to after the riots?"

Open Call Closes 7 May.
