Call for Writers – Mental Health Narrative Project

Writers are invited to apply to be part of a research team exploring human rights and recovery for those living in mental health community houses. As part of a collaborative research team, the writer will deliver a series of workshops to gather life experiences of those living and working in community residences and produce a collection of the gathered narratives.  The focus of this project is on the development of good practice within the community residences in relation to human rights and recovery.

The project, entitled Do we have the ‘Right’ Story?, is a partnership between Waterford Institute of Technology, Service Reform Fund-Mental Health South East Community Healthcare and Waterford Healing Arts Trust. Waterford Healing Arts Trust will manage the recruitment of the writer and offer mentoring support to the selected person. The writer will need to be available to facilitate the workshop series between July and September 2019 across Carlow/Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and South Tipperary. This project is funded by the Service Reform Fund – Mental Health.
