Dromineer-Nenagh Literary Festival seeks a Writer in Residence for 2019. Expressions of interest are welcomed from experienced writers across all genres (Fiction, Non-fiction, Short Stories, Poetry, Spoken Word, Memoir, Songwriting/Composition, Play/Script writing). We are particularly interested in writers who can work creatively to engage the local community and who have experience of socially engaged practice in community or healthcare settings (not schools). We are aiming for this year’s Writer in Residence to work with and encourage the imaginations of either adults or young people as well as to develop their own work.
We will work with the Writer in Residence to devise and deliver either a project or programme of community engagement. We are open to ideas and keen to work with a writer to build on and develop their socially engaged practice.
