Red Line Book Festival 2020 Writer-in-Residence Scheme

Deadline: 29 Jun 2020

The Red Line Book Festival offering €5,000 to a Writer-in-Residence, who will be invited to take part in October 2020 programming.

The theme of this year’s residency is Connection Reset, stemming from an internet term for when the site you are connected to resets the connection. This concept has been developed as a response to the uncertain times we are living through, as we all attempt to find new and meaningful ways to connect.

The residency is open to all forms of writing including, but not limited to prose, poetry, playwriting, and writing for children. The chosen writer will be invited to engage with local communities in South Dublin through workshops and other work, as well as creating written work responding to the chosen theme. The successful applicant will also have access to writing space.  All applications should be sent to by 29th June 2020 at 12pm. Late applications will not be accepted.
