REIC Competition

Deadline: 6 Nov 2020

REIC do chuid!

Tá ainm amuigh ar REIC as éagsúlacht na dtaispeántas a chloistear ann - filíocht ó bhéal, rap, ceol, scéalaíocht, agus go leor eile. Cuirtear fáilte roimh an Ghaeilge i gcónaí, chomh maith le taispeántas i dteangacha eile. Bíonn REIC ar siúl go rialta i mBÁC, agus ag féiltí timpeall na tíre - Electric Picnic, Body and Soul, & IMRAM ina measc.

Dar le Ciara Ní É, bunaitheoir REIC  & Scríbhneoir Cónaithe DCU i mbliana,

“Cé gurbh fhearr linn a bheith beo inár steillbheatha os comhair slua, tugann an phaindéim seo deis dúinn rud éigin difriúil a chruthú."

Ba mhaith le REIC ardán a thabhairt do na Gaeil ar fud an domhain, agus seó beo ilsiamsa a chur le chéile san aon iarracht. Baineann REIC le nuálaíocht, uaillmhian agus úrnuacht, agus is cinnte go bhfeictear éagsúlacht as cuimse sa chomórtas seo.

Beidh  an comórtas ag sruthú ar YouTube Fiontar agus Scoil na Gaeilge,

REIC (pronounced ‘wreck’) is a bilingual, and often multilingual, spoken word event featuring poetry, rap, music, storytelling, and everything else you can think of! It provides a welcoming space where Gaeilge is encouraged. REIC is held regularly in Dublin and at festivals such as Electric Picnic, Body and Soul, & IMRAM.

Ciara Ní É, founder of REIC and DCU’s Writer in Residence 2020 says, “Although we’d love to be performing live in front of our audience, the pandemic calls us to be creative in a different way.”

With this competition, REIC wants to give a stage to Gaeil all over the world, putting together a vibrant live-streamed show along the way. REIC is associated with innovation, ambition and originality, and we are sure to see a wide variety of talent in this competition.
