Yeats Day Writevitalise: Renew Yourself

Deadline: 13 Jun 2021

Taking place on Sunday 13 June at 11am in association with Yeats Day at Yeats Society Sligo, Writevitalise: Renew Yourself invites participants to explore the healing power of poetry using Yeats' work as inspiration.

Expressive and reflective writing offers admission to our inner self and helps us form a deeper connection with our lived experience. Using the poetry of W.B. Yeats as inspiration, this specially developed online writing & wellness workshop will guide you through a series of writing exercises in a mindful way to explore the written word as a powerful tool for self-care and self-discovery. It will also provide you with a self-reflective writing practice that you can continue on your own and integrate into your daily experience.

Facilitator Gerard Beirne is a published author with 6 books of poetry and fiction. He is a past winner of Hennessy New Irish Writer of the Year Award and shortlisted for the Kerry Group Irish Fiction Award, the Danuta Gleed Literary Award, & Bord Gais Irish Book Awards.
